Hello,
I am surprised that you explain Ashera El as the God Ashera, when it is a known fact that some Semites had also a god, that was above other gods, whose name was El. So Ashera was one god, and El was another. Why is not the explanation of Israel as God is reigning sufficient?
Also, Achenaton’s worship of the sun as the god Ra, was not a fully develped religion which could attract the Semitic slaves, especially if they were steeped in the Egyptian religion. And as Moses was not the greatest speaker as we learn from the bible (he was either a stutterer or he just didn’t speak the slaves’ language and needed Aharon to translate), it is difficult to understand why they should even consider his self-styled religion. No, there must be another reason for the monotheistic journey of the Hebrews.
